Obituary of Margaret Berg
BERG, Margaret 'Peggy'-Passed away on Thursday, April 10, 2003 at age 77. The beloved wife of Dalton W. Berg she was surrounded by her daughters Jane and Lynda. She will be profoundly missed by her family and many friends. With Peggy's passing, the world lost a great listener and cherished friend. A gracious lady of the old school she embraced all of the advantages of the current age while maintaining a level of dignity and civility not common in today's world. After the war, Peggy and Dalton moved from her birth place in England to Canada, and settled in Toronto where he studied club management and she worked in a bank until they started their family. Peggy was a wonderful mother who gave freely of herself to family and friends. An advocate of learning, her years as an assistant librarian were very rewarding to her as was a lifetime dedicated to volunteer work and her church. Donations may be made in Peggy's memory to The Heart and Stroke Foundation or Princess Margaret Hospital. A memorial service in celebration of her life will beheld at Holy Trinity Anglican Church in Thornhill on Saturday, April 19, 2003 at 2 pm. 'Say not in grief, she is no more, but in thankfullness that she was'.
