WINTER, Wilson Thomas 'Tom'-Much loved and loving husband of Eleanor, passed away on March 31, 2003 at Maple Health Centre. He was the proud and caring father of Dr. Carol Roffey (Lucas Edward) and Dr. William Winter (Jurij Senyshyn) and special grandfather of Maia and Benjamin. He was predeceased by his sister Margaret (Peggy) Clarke and brother James Albert Winter. Tom attended UTS then went on to graduate from the University of Toronto in Chemical Engineering (3T6). He served overseas in World War II as an officer in the artillery. Tom loved to travel. The family extended its heartfelt thanks to Andrea Ubell of the York Region Alzheimers' Association for her unwavering support and to the nurses and staff at the Maple Health Centre who cared for Tom in such a loving and kind way. A very special thanks to Victor, his companion, caregiver and 'Buddy' for his devotion to Tom during his long journey to peace. As Tom wished, a private family service will be held.
