Obituary of Emma Mae Horgan

 

Emma Mae Horgan (nee Smith) was born October 11, 1941 in Saint John, New Brunswick.

She is survived by her sister Carol (Orval), brothers David (Carolyn), Raymond (Hilda) and Wally (Valerie)

Loving and caring wife of Leo Horgan for 25 wonderful years. Proud mother of Meredith Jordan, Michael Jordan (Leanne), and Mark Jordan (Tessa). Nanny to her beautiful granddaughters, Kaleigh Zep (Jerry),  Lindsey Clark (Matt), their father Ian Clark and Melody Lofranco, Her handsome grandsons, Adam Jordan and Liam Lofranco. Great Nanny to our newest addition Natalia Zep (Kaleigh and Jerry)

Second mother to a wonderful son Barry Horgan (deceased) and her three lovely girls, Diane Andersen (Ven), Jill Cranston (Roger) and Karen Racioppo (Frank). Grandmother to Keven Andersen (Marlene), Darren Andersen (Amanda), Dennis Andersen (Alexia), Andrew Harper (Sophie), Cory Cranston (Pauline), Stephanie Cranston, Lenny Racioppo and Lidia Graham (Chris). Great Grandmother to Zoey Andersen, Austen Andersen, Lucas and Addison Graham.

She wished to thank all her family and friends for their kind and loving support during her illness, especially her best friends of over 50 years Marie King and Nina Dynar.

We would like to thank nurses on 3 west at North York General Hospital for their compassionate care of Mom and for their concern for the wellbeing of her loved ones.  Summerized by a family member, “There is a special place in heaven for these nurses”. To Dr. Leung, our sincerest thank you for your soothing words and keeping Mom comfortable during her final days.

 

Friends will be received on Friday July 5th, 2019 from 12pm to 1pm at R. S. Kane Funeral Home (6150 Yonge St).A Celebration of Life will take place in the Chapel at 1pm. Cremation. In lieu of flowers donations would be kindly accepted to the Canadian Cancer Society.
