Mary-Anne Matthews posted a condolence
Saturday, June 15, 2019To Ruth's children: Your parents, Irwin & Ruth lived beside my mother (Mary F. Matthews) on Betty Ann Drive and they became chummy until Ruth moved over to the apartments in Bayview Village. Ruth kept in touch with my mother until she moved up north. We lost touch with her unfortunately. Your parents were very good and helpful neighbors as she lived alone and was 90+ (although my oldest brother was often there). I was thankful for them as often times I could not reach my mother and your dad/mom would go over and check on her (usually the phone was off the hook). They were wonderful people! Please accept my sincere sympathy on the loss of a great woman, your mother. My mom who celebrated her 100th birthday in her home had a serious fall in June 2015 and we moved to a LTC . A year later at 101, she passed away peacefully. Sincerely, Mary-Anne Matthews (Mary's daughter)
