Obituary of Miklos Louis Adamovits

Beloved husband of and now reunited with Margaret nee Toth.  Loving father to Nancy husband David, Janet husband Bob, and Peter wife Allison. Grandfather to Katherine husband Shane, Peter, Jillian partner Clay, Michael partner Rachel, Laura, Steven wife Beth. Great grandfather to Ariana, Elena, Abigail, Connor, Will, Ava, Ben and Samuel.

Emigrating to Canada from Batonya, Hungary in 1930, Mike settled with his family in Wyoming, Ontario where he enjoyed a happy childhood in a small town. During the war the family resettled in Toronto where Mike enlisted in the Air Force, met Margaret and was married in 1948.

As a graduate of the Ontario College of Art and Design in 1951, Mike continued his love of art by teaching and painting for the remainder of his life. He taught in the Department of Corrections and worked with young men and women, a career which he found very rewarding.

Mike enjoyed family time and friends. An avid fisherman, he loved to travel and to garden. He never lost his natural curiousity or love of learning. Mike was generous with his time and in retirement volunteered extensively. He was honoured for his community service by the city of Brampton.

He will be deeply missed by family and friends, including new friends and staff of Greenway Retirement home.

May he rest in peace with those he loved.
