Tuesday, April 16, 2019You will be missed for a long time to come; you were such a familiar figure in my life. Whenever I needed help, you were there advising me to “never sweat the small stuff” and giving me a helpful hand. Thank you, Ray.

Thursday, April 11, 2019He was a good man, which goes without saying. We all respected him as a friend who was a rock of good sense, decency and good humour. It’s people like him who make the world go round: solid, dependable, courageous and a family man who liked people and always made everybody feel appreciated. He gave of himself for others. From my early days in Canada I saw him as embodying down-to-earth admirable Canadian character. He enjoyed the small stuff of everyday life, which is most of what life is. It was always a pleasure to see how you two related to each other - something which is a very special achievement over the decades with all the ups and downs. That isn’t achieved without love and respect and lots of give and take and says a whole lot about each of you. I especially liked your giggles Bev, when he made one of his silly jokes. It’s the image of jokes, poking fun, and a sharing knowing smile from the tall man at the barbeque that will stay with me. Much love to you Bev and the girls.

Thursday, April 11, 2019Ray, you gave it your best shot! We know. We and many other amigos, particularly Pete and Joyce and Rob (now we are down to just 3 amigos!), just loved to watch your show. Always on. Oh, those one liners just kept coming! Zinger followed zinger. And Bev, after all those wonderful years, just kept laughing. Ray, we always had fun with you. Life and soul of you were. And all those women... but you kept them all in the family. You knew your place. At home. Loved it. Loved them. Solid. Decent. A rock for the ages but with time to help others. And still with clients who trusted you. Brave too. You actually admitted to reading the whole bible. Really? Not sure about that one. But know you won’t go to hell in a handcart even if you did hilariously trundle down your local hill in one on a fun Canada Day years ago. No, you will add style, honesty and good character to the other higher place. But we miss you like hell already. You leave big shoes to fill. You were a big man in every way. We hold that salute ... to you. And condolences for your wonderful family! T & J

Wednesday, April 10, 2019I don't remember a time in my life when Ray wasn't part of it... From all the laughs to the crazy magic tricks (how DID that coin do that?!) and all of the years of fun and silly times. I loved talking to him about the good stuff and the serious stuff. His advice was always spot on and he always treated me like family. I will always love him and my amazing memories of him dearly. I have so much to say in my heart and yet there seems to be no words that have ever been invented to fit the loss of someone so dear. My deepest condolences, Heather
