It is with great sadness that the Yau’s family announces the passing of King Fan Chan after a brief illness of lung cancer, on Friday, June 08, 2018, in Sunnybrook Health Science Centre, Toronto, at the age of 68.
King Fan Chan was born in HainanIsland in China on Aug. 26,1949. She worked as a teacher in China. She later moved to Hong Kong, and eventually travelled to Toronto, Canada. When in Toronto, she met and married her late husband Chung-Ki Yau in 1998, settling down in Toronto. She became the step-mother of Donald Yau (Calgary, Alberta).
She likes spicy hot food, and enjoyed Karaoke! She also has some Buddhism upbringing and worships the Kuan-yin Buddha (觀音菩薩)!
She will be sadly missed by Donald Yau’s family in Calgary, Alberta!
She will be cremated. Her burial will be held on Saturday, Aug. 04, 2018, at YorkCemetery, North York, Toronto, Ontario
