Our lives changed forever September 5, 2018. Mum lost her husband of 57 years, we lost our dad, our children lost their grandad and many relatives and friends lost a very special man.
Respected and loved by many, a man who laughed at the world and made the world laugh with him. Generous, kind, inspiring, it would be difficult to capture his life and his world in a sentence or two. He was deep within our hearts, involved in our lives; proud and loving. Dad lived life on his own terms, he also rolled with the punches that life threw at him. A singer of many songs, he had a great voice! He loved to tell a story that usually ended in laughter. He retired from Toronto Transit Commission after more than 25 years of service.
Survived by his wife Joyce Walsh, daughter Susan Walsh (Tommy and Amy McLaughlin), son Jonathan Walsh, daughter in law, Denise Callaghan-Walsh (Aine, Ciara, Gavin and Aoife Walsh) Brother Gerald Walsh, Sister Sheila Jones and many family and friends in Canada and the UK.
Funeral service will be held at R.S. Kane Funeral Home, 6150 Yonge St. (at Goulding, south of Steeles) on Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 2 pm, with visitation Friday September 14th 2:00 – 4:00 PM AND 7:00- 9:00 PM. As an expression of sympathy, a donation to the charity of your choice would be appreciated
